Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal, has introduced a dedicated online portal to help alumni of four permanently closed affiliated colleges obtain their academic certificates without visiting the University.
According to an official notification issued on July 14, 2026, the new portal has been created because the usual process of distributing certificates through affiliated colleges is no longer possible after these institutions ceased operations.
The online facility is available for students who passed out in 2023, 2024 and 2025 from the following colleges:
Institute of Genetic Engineering (IGE)
Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management (CIEM)
Calcutta Institute of Science and Management (CISM)
Aryabhatta Institute of Engineering & Management (AIEM)
Eligible alumni can apply online by entering their registration number, examination roll number and other required details for verification. The University has fixed a service fee of ₹200 per certificate request, which covers the dispatch of academic certificates through Speed Post.
The portal also includes a secure online payment system and a real-time tracking feature, allowing applicants to monitor the status of their certificate delivery after submitting their request.
MAKAUT has announced that the portal will remain open from July 15, 2026, to August 31, 2026. Eligible alumni can submit their requests through the University's online certificate portal.
