Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal, has published the Provisional Academic Calendar for the 2026–27 academic session, outlining the complete schedule for semester commencement, student enrollment, continuous assessments, examinations, internships and result submission.
According to the calendar, academic activities for the Odd Semester 2026–27 will begin on July 30, 2026. Enrollment for students of the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th semesters will be conducted from August 5 to August 14, 2026, while enrollment with a late fee will be allowed from September 1 to September 3, 2026. The enrollment schedule for first-semester students will be announced after the registration process is completed.
Students with back papers can complete enrollment and examination fee payment between September 28 and September 30, 2026, with a late fee option available from October 12 to October 14, 2026.
The University has scheduled the first Continuous Assessment (CA 1) upload from September 7 to September 12, 2026, followed by PCA 1 from September 22 to September 25, 2026. CA 2 will be uploaded between November 2 and November 7, 2026, while PCA 2 is scheduled from November 17 to November 20, 2026.
The End Semester Continuous Assessment (ECA) online MCQ test and Whole Semester Continuous Assessment (WCA) submissions will take place from November 17 to November 21, 2026. Attendance data for examination eligibility must be uploaded between November 18 and November 20, 2026.
Pre-examination activities, including examination form fill-up, are scheduled from November 23 to December 2, 2026. The Odd Semester theory examinations will be conducted from December 4 to December 19, 2026, while practical, sessional and viva-voce examinations will be held between December 21 and December 24, 2026.
For the Even Semester 2026–27, classes for the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th semesters will commence on January 4, 2027. Enrollment without a late fee will be held from January 6 to January 16, 2027, while enrollment with a late fee will be available from February 8 to February 10, 2027.
Back paper enrollment and fee submission for the Even Semester will take place from January 18 to January 22, 2027, with a late fee window from February 22 to February 24, 2027.
The Even Semester CA 1 upload is scheduled between February 15 and February 19, 2027, followed by PCA 1 from February 22 to February 26, 2027. CA 2 submissions will be accepted from March 29 to April 2, 2027, while PCA 2 will run from April 5 to April 9, 2027.
The University has fixed April 12 to April 16, 2027 for both the End Semester Continuous Assessment (ECA) and Whole Semester Continuous Assessment (WCA). Attendance uploads for examination eligibility will be accepted from April 13 to April 15, 2027.
Pre-examination activities for the Even Semester will be conducted from April 19 to April 27, 2027. Theory examinations are scheduled between April 30 and May 15, 2027, followed by practical, sessional and viva-voce examinations from May 17 to May 20, 2027.
MAKAUT has also earmarked the period from May 21 to July 14, 2027, for internships for all students. The next academic session, 2027–28, is scheduled to begin on July 15, 2027.
The calendar further specifies that colleges can upload MAR records for the Odd Semester from August 1 to December 15, 2026, and for the Even Semester from February 1 to April 30, 2027. Students can upload MOOCs records for credit transfer from August 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027, subject to college verification before the respective end-semester examinations.
Full Exam Routine
Autonomous colleges have been instructed to upload Odd Semester results by April 30, 2027, while Even Semester results must be uploaded by October 31, 2027.
MAKAUT has clarified that the Continuous Assessment (CA) and Practical Continuous Assessment (PCA) dates mentioned in the calendar are the deadlines for uploading marks, documents and related data. Colleges may conduct assessments throughout the semester according to their academic plans but must upload the records within the prescribed timelines.
The University has also noted that the academic calendar is provisional, and all dates are tentative and may change depending on administrative or academic requirements.
